I enjoy working with clients' physicians to ensure healthy lifestyle changes work in unison with managed health care decisions. One of our Empowering Health goals is to create a strong team approach between the client, their family, physicians and our professional assistance.


Q: I've attended one of your education classes. How do you stay so slim?

A: I definitely practice what I preach! When I was in my twenties, I used to weigh 40 pounds more, so I know what it is like to struggle with weight. I also find that as I get older I have to work harder and be more diligent in order to maintain my weight. There are no magic answers, but the three things that I do consistently are:

  • Eat appropriate quantities of real food
  • Exercise every day at a challenging pace
  • Use journal writing as a part of my emotional wellness plan
