Meet the founder of Empowering Health:

Nancy Bailey, MS, ES

Nancy Bailey has worked extensively in corporate and health care arenas for 15 years. As director of cardiac rehabilitation at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, her most significant contribution to the community has been her development and implementation of an advanced cardiac education program. This program includes the latest research about heart disease reduction and reversal for patients and their families. Nancy is also a national speaker on health care issues and business development. As founder/director of Empowering Health, Nancy will continue her destiny of leading individuals to higher levels of personal health and wellness.

Her educational credentials include, BS in Community Health Education, minor in Psychology and Nutrition, MS in Exercise Physiology, PhD Candidate/Nutrition, and American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Specialist. Other training includes bioenergetic evaluations, homeopathic remedies, weight loss programming, life coach strategist, nutritional analyst, lipid management, and heart disease specialist.

Kerri Reed, MS, ES
Business Manager
Health Specialist & Educator

Kerri Reed has assisted in coordinating cardiac rehabilitation programs for the last 12 years. She is a certified exercise specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine and is a certified ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) provider. She has recently completed extensive training in homeopathic medicine and bioenergetic evaluations and has received her certification in homotoxicology. Her educational credentials include a BS in Education and MS in Exercise Physiology. Other training includes lifestyle management educator and aerobic/tae-bo instructor. Empowering Health has been an intrical part of helping Kerri on her journey to personal fulfillment and has opened her eyes to different ways to help people.

Barbara Aarud
Health Specialist & Educator

Barb has been involved in health care for 30 years, specializing in physical therapy and cardiac rehabilitation. She has completed John Barnes' course on myofascial release. She is a meditation guide and has a strong interest in spiritual health. Barb has completed training in bioenergetic evaluations. Being involved with Empowering Health has fulfilled Barb's desire to assist people on their path to wellness.

Jane Faivre, C.H.E.S.
Certified Health Education Specialist

Jane Faivre has worked very closely with wellness programs including General Motor’s Health Promotion Program. Most recently she has worked at an athletic club as a health educator focusing on nutrition education. Jane has great interest in women’s health issues, body image, emotional health, nutrition, and fitness. Her educational credentials include a BS in Community Health Education from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist that has met the standards of competence established by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Jane is very excited to be the newest member of the Empowering Health staff. She is looking forward to helping others enhance their health and well-being.
